Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta says he has completely recouped from coronavirus.

Spaniard Arteta, 37, became the primary Premier League manager to test positive for the virus on 12 March.

He had revealed feeling unwell after it was affirmed Evangelos Marinakis – the owner of Greek side Olympiakos, who played Arsenal in the Europa League in February – had coronavirus on 10 March.

Arteta stated: “It took me three or four days to begin feeling much improved, with more vitality, to eradicate the symptoms.”

Speaking to Spanish channel La Sexta, he added: “I am alright now. I feel that I have recovered.”

The Gunners’ players were thanks to report for training on Tuesday, after completing 14 days’ isolation following Arteta’s diagnosis, but their return has been postponed.

“Because of the present circumstance, we are clear it would be improper and reckless to request that players return right now,” said the north London club in an announcement.

“Along these lines our players’s first team, ladies and foundation players are for the most part staying at home. Remain at home and spare lives.”

Several Arsenal players had gone into self-isolation after the news of Marinakis’ positive test, while the Gunners were thanks to face Manchester City at Etihad Stadium on 11 March.

Talking on Sunday, Arteta included: “I got a call from the governing body subsequent to preparing while I was in my vehicle and they revealed to me the leader of Olympiakos had tried positive, and everybody who had been in contact was in danger.

“I proceeded to disclose to them that I wasn’t feeling well and that we had a circumstance since we had lots of players that had been in contact with them.

“We had a game against Manchester City the following day and clearly we were unable to put lots of individuals in danger without saying anything.
