Iran intends to have a peaceful talk with the U.S if Washington seek apologies for leaving a 2015 nuclear deal and give Tehran a compensation, said Iranian President, Hassan Rouhani on Wednesday, asserting that U.S. calls for talks is not right.

The disagreement between arch foes Tehran and Washington has gotten worse since 2018, when U.S. President Donald Trump withdrew from Iran’s 2015 nuclear affect major powers and reimposed sanctions that have crippled Iran’s economy.

Rouhani also blasted a resolution by the U.N. nuclear watchdog passed on Friday that called on Iran to prevent denying the agency access to 2 suspected former sites and to cooperate fully with it.

“Iran is prepared to cooperate with the (International nuclear energy Agency) IAEA under law,” he said.
