Barrister Imoh Williams, the administrator of Abak Local Government Area, was today, suspended by the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly after his associates were caught on video ambushing a craftsman.
The Akwa Ibom senator, Udom Emmanuel, on Wednesday denounced the ambush, portraying it as “unsatisfactory in a socialized society and does not speak to our guiding principle”.
The gathering in a whole on Thursday, guided Williams to continue on uncertain suspension and ordered its advisory group on nearby government to research the episode and report back to the House inside a month.
The craftsman, Godwin Abraham, was ambushed at the premises of the neighborhood government gathering in Abak, on April 13, 2019, by two men said to be associates of Mr Williams.
They blamed charged Abraham for taking to Facebook to “affront” the administrator on account of some uncertain obligation – the craftsman asserted he has not been paid N75, 000 for some adornment employments he accomplished for the executive.
